Can someone tell me why the scandal in Ridgeiand is on the down low and every time something is happing in Hardeeville we are the 5,6 and the 11 oclock news. Were do i go to sign the petition to get things rolling in Hardeeville it's time to make a change so the Hardeeville kids can get good thing to.

Spring Horsing Around Starts Saturday 4/10

Heroes on Horseback, located in Pritchardville, starts their spring session with an orientation on Saturday, April 10th at 9am. The charity provides horse-assisted therapeutic riding activities for riders in Jasper and Beaufort counties. Qualified riders participate in the Special Olympics.

Man died on I-95 at 29 MM

JASPER COUNTY – A New Hampshire man traveling north on Interstate 95 was killed Friday afternoon when he lost control of his pickup he was driving and overturned in the median, the S.C. Highway Patrol said.

The man’s wife was taken to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

The man's name has yet to be released by the Jasper County Coroner's Office.

The couple were traveling north in a 2005 Ford-250 Super Duty pickup pulling a camper at about 1:30 p.m. when the driver tried to change lanes and lost control, according to Lance Cpl. Bob Beres.

Hardeeville Police Department to move across the street

The Hardeeville Police Department will move into larger offices this weekend and will open to the public Tuesday, April 6.

The police department, municipal courts and administration will be at 26 Martin St., which formerly housed Hargray.

The public entrance is on the side of the building.
“When we’re fully transitioned, we will have an open house,” said Chief Richard Nagy.

The old police station will house the city of Hardeeville’s Designated Marketing Organization, which happens to be the Greater Hardeeville Chamber of Commerce.

Domestic violence workshop April 21

HARDEEVILLE - The Jasper County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council (JCDVCC) will host its 9th annual professional training workshop April 21 at Sgt. Jasper Park.

The training will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and focus on domestic violence from the point of view of adult and child victims.

Presenters include Gayle Whitlock of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.

The program is geared toward members of the justice system, human service providers, educators, medical personnel, clergy or interested members of the community.

Census Assistance

Get those Census forms in! The Census Bureau would like to have these forms in by this day, but certainly no later than mid April!

The City of Hardeeville is hosting Census workers who can assist you with your Census form. Come by City Hall from 9 am to noon, Monday-Friday.

The help is FREE. Assistance is available in English and Spanish.
