DNC

I willed myself to stay awake last night to watch the DNC, but alas my eyes grew too heavy and I had to turn the TV off halfway through Hillary Clinton's speech. The mainstream media has called the convention a hyped-uped infomercial, what do you think?

DNC
Well first of all the media had a huge part in what they're calling a hyped-up infomerical. But in today's times why not? Whatever party one may be affiliated with one has to be realistic that this election year is history in the making. On this day 8/28/08 45 years ago Dr. Martin Luther King delievered his "I Have A Dream" speech in that speech he expressed his vision, I won't quote him but basically what he was expressing was that one day his children, and your children or grandchildren would only be judged by the content of their character and abilities,(I don't think I have go go into what he meant by his children and your children). Obama was only two years old at that time, Hilary could not have imagined then in the year of 2008 there was to be a great possibility she would put 18 millions shattered pieces in the "Glass Ceiling" of this great United States of America (with people believing in her abilities to be the President). So why not the hype, we all should be excited, young, old, no matter your race or gender. Then let's look at it this way, this history making event will pave the way for our future (our children, our grandchildren) the people in our communites children and grandchildren. It's politics, but its politics at its best. We all should be excited about seeing people that look like us, look like our neighbors and who are believers that there is nothing wrong with having HOPE. Listen to what was said at a news interview "this is a way for people to feel they were involved in getting their candidate to this point, whether it was Obama or Hilary, (people from all walks of life, from other party affiliations) have been attending the DNC, have been involved in the process over the past 18 months or so, after all this is the (UNITED) States of America. Wish I could have been there to share in the EXCITMENT!!
