It's veggie time again

The Jasper County Farmers Market will open April 24.

The retail market will run 1-6 p.m. Fridays.

The market will host a variety of vendors including produce, baked goods, prepared meals, arts, crafts and estate sales.

Vendors interested in selling goods at the retail market can call horticulture agent Shawn Jadrnicek at 549-2595 ext. 113.

This year a $5 per day fee will be charged for space at the retail market.

The wholesale auction market will also operate out of the same building and will be at 3 p.m. Mondays and 9 a.m. Thursdays starting mid April when produce is available.

The wholesale market is open to everyone looking for a good deal on produce.

Produce at the wholesale auction market is sold in small and large lots.
